Zealotech People Looking for Assistant Controller/Senior Accountant at Remote Full Time

Atwater Consulting Group is a minority, woman, and LGBTQ+ owned Staffing Agency. Seeking a full-time permanent Assistant controller for a boutique CPA/Accounting firm in Edmonds, WA. While the day to day can be remote (with the option to be onsite/hybrid if desired) you will be expected to come into the office for onboarding and a few company events/year.

This is a client facing role, helping grow the business, which is to handle accounting, payroll, excise & B&O tax returns, essentially act as an external accounting department for clients.

MUST have in depth experience with Washington State payroll taxes, Excise & B&O Taxes

This would be a great role for someone who is a Sr Manager, Controller, or Director of Accounting Services.

· Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, Business or related

· 4-7 years in progressive Accounting: GL, AP, AR, Cash Flow, budgeting and reconciliations

· 3 years Quickbooks Online

· 3 years Payroll processing/familiarity, including benefits and retirement plans

· 2 years people management (will have 4-5 direct reports)

· In depth experience with Washington payroll taxes, Excise and B&O taxes

· CPA, SHRM/HRCI, CPP are all a plus but not necessary

· Must pass a background check

Softwares:

· Accounting: Quickbooks, Quickbooks Online

· Payroll: ADP RUN, Gusto, QB Payroll, Paychex

· POS: Square, Stripe, Shopify

· Other: Bill.com, Expensify, ReceipBank/Dext, Bookkeep.com

· MS Office, Teams, Zoom, Slack, 8X8, etc.

· History: 20+ years

· Employees: 25 employees and growing

· Annual Revenue: $5MM

· Clients: US, Canada, and International businesses and high net worth individuals in construction, real estate, retail, professional services, hospitality.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
