This is a full time, benefits eligible, school year position, pending budget approval. Candidates must have the ability to create and maintain positive relations with students, school personnel, parents, and citizens, and to collaborate with the appropriate stakeholders to maintain high quality of services. This listing is not a detailed description of all position duties: 1. Develops instructional plans and organizes class time to provide a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and working time.2.
Teaches the approved elementary curriculum adopted by the Board of Directors, and other appropriate learning activities.3. Monitors student understanding and re-teaches as necessary.4. Encourages students to think independently and to express original ideas.5. Provides individual and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of students with varying intellectual abilities and to accommodate a variety of instructional activities.6.
Uses technology effectively.7. Analyzes and uses data to inform instruction.8. Evaluates each students performance and growth in knowledge and aesthetic understandings and prepares progress reports and grade reports.9. Communicates regularly with parents on student progress.10.
Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior needed to provide an orderly and productive classroom environment.
