Here at Whitefox we have a fantastic opportunity to join our innovative, growing technology business, where YOU will help the team focus on building clean energy and sustainability as a Field Engineer.
This role will see you join a small yet agile and friendly Operations team based in the USA. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer and working closely with the engineering teams, this role is key to the successful delivery of Whitefox customer satisfaction.
To be successful in this role, you will be a pragmatic person with a high-performance orientation coupled with practical experience.
The main responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Support existing industrial membrane installations, including process and procedure improvements.
- Provide onsite customer service presence at industrial plants, laboratories and supply chain partners as required.
- Ongoing operations procedure guidance and plant troubleshooting.
- Gather, analyse, and report membrane and process performance data.
- Develop operator training materials and mentor/train field operators.
- Communication and collaboration with the process design team, and detail engineering team.
- Lead onsite commissioning activities of new membrane installations.
- Represent Whitefox at tradeshows and conferences.
- Promote safety in your work above all else.
- Other related duties as assigned.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical, or similar engineering discipline from an accredited university. (Alternatively, 4+ years of experience in the ethanol industry).
- 1 – 3 years industry experience.
- Understand the basic principles of heat and material balance.
- Strong MS Office familiarity, MS Excel in particular.
- Basic understanding of industrial equipment, e.g. pumps, heat exchangers, distillation columns, etc.
- Familiarity with P&ID’s
