Wells College seeks highly qualified candidates for the position of Accountant. This position encompasses a diverse set of accounting functions the major portion of which includes payroll processing, accounts payable processing and analysis, general ledger and cash reconciliations, budget maintenance, within established College policies and procedures. Successful candidates will possess excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to communicate sensitive and or complex information confidentially, clearly, and professionally; computer literate with an emphasis on spreadsheet preparation and large amounts of data; ability to work independently, possess a high level of accuracy, and strong attention to detail while working with deadlines in an environment of continual interruptions and have a working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Associates degree in Accounting of Business required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business preferred. Position is classified as full-time non-exempt.
