We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to analyze, identify, and implement improvements to our processes on the production floor. This role works in collaboration with Engineering, the production team, and leadership to improve overall performance, throughput, and quality.

What you’ll do

• Creatively evaluate manufacturing processes to ensure optimal productivity and profitability
• Provide research to introduce and integrate new processes, equipment, and technology
• Set criteria for quality and speed and consistently measure manufacturing behaviors to evaluate their success
• Identify delays in production and sources of waste
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services to ensure the manufacturers procedures and instructions are followed
• Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency
• Collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization to assess business improvement opportunities
• Clearly define problems and determine solution strategies
• Actively manage tasks and communication on long term projects with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure timely completion
• Provide fundamental engineering leadership and expertise
• Conduct feasibility studies, determine manpower and cost estimates, and develop engineering criteria

What you’ll need to know

• How to follow through on solutions to ensure long-term fixes are identified and implemented
• How to quickly diagnose root cause issues and implement corrective actions
• How to accurately convey complex ideas in a simple and easy-to-understand way
• How to implement lean manufacturing techniques
• How to react to changing priorities and proactively restructure workflow
• Fluency with 3D CAD and ERP system
• Familiarity with production processes

Who you are

• Someone with a B.S. in Engineering or 2+ years of relevant experience
• Someone with basic business sense and an understanding of how decisions impact results and revenue
• Someone with a positive attitude and ability to build rapport in tense situations
• Someone with a strong sense of curiosity and critical thinking
• Someone who pays attention to small details and sees how they fit into the big picture
