A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A STORMWATER MANAGEMENT ENGINEER
n
In this civil engineering role, you design roadway drainage and stormwater management facilities. You review the development of engineering design details, specifications, contract drawings, and estimates to verify compliance with criteria. Staying up-to-date on current design trends and methodologies helps you to deliver the best engineering work for our clients. You enjoy getting away from your desk to participate in presentations as well as perform fieldwork for inspections and research. Using your expertise, you assist in training new employees in using computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software. You take pride in using your unique knowledge and abilities to provide quality work and excellent client service!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A STORMWATER MANAGEMENT ENGINEER

Experience with municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4) or total (maximum daily loads) TMDL compliance, stream or outfall stabilization design, and flood plain analysis is desired but not required. Current Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) stormwater management (SWM) or erosion and sediments control (ESC) plan reviewer certification and DEQ program administrator or inspector certifications are also preferred, but many factors will be considered. Are you highly organized and detail-oriented? Do you take pride in your work? Are you a team player with good communication skills? If so, you might just be perfect for this civil engineering position!

WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time Stormwater Management Engineer position typically works Monday – Friday, 9 am – 3 pm. Outside of those core hours, the schedule is flexible!
