Job duties include:
Campus rounding, with the purpose of making personal resident visits, in each resident housing unit of St. Mary’s Home, The Court, and The Villas.
The purpose of these rounds will be to visit with each resident, including new admits, to provide
an additional opportunity for resident socialization;
help alleviate resident isolation and loneliness;
opportunity for prayer.
The pastoral care assistant will discuss observations with the Director of Mission Services.
Visits will be electronically documented.
The pastoral care assistant will be in compliance with all HIPAA regulations regarding resident confidentiality.
The pastoral care assistant is familiar with and supports the Ethical and Religious Directives as stipulated by the United States Council of Bishops.
The Pastoral Care Assistant will assist in:
liturgical planning and liturgies as needed
funeral planning and coordination as needed
memorial service planning and participation
leading devotional prayer, such as the rosary, as needed
