Job Description:
The Cyber Security Systems Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining secure, complex technical infrastructures. The Cyber Security Systems Engineer candidate will have experience with systems engineering, scripting of patching and deployment activates as well as understanding of networking and cloud concepts that aid in management and simplification of the cybersecurity posture of the infrastructure.
This position works closely with all areas of the business to help increase overall operational business maturity, and to achieve increased efficiency and consistency within customer implementations. An ideal candidate exhibits a high level of learning agility and a willingness and ability to learn new technologies, solutions set, and generically solve process and technology problems through automated methods.
Job Responsibilities:
· Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
· Working on ways to improve business processes through automation
· Maintain Azure domain and resources
· Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
· Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
· Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’
· Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions
· Coordinate the resources and provide timely and complete resolutions
Education/Experience:
· The candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, electrical engineering, or a related field.
· Recommended certifications include: COMPTIA Security+
· 5 or more years’ experience in a technical capacity with experience in a role related to
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
· Excellent time management skills
· Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills
· Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
· Ability to document technical analysis and articulate outcomes to non-technical audiences
· Experience with non-typed scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Python, Ruby, Bash
· Experience managing Linux and Window Servers
· Experience managing patching across enterprise
· Experience managing Active Directory GPOs for configuration and compliance
· High learning agility and willingness to learn new technologies, languages, and tools
· Ability to perform under rigid time frames across multiple projects simultaneously
· Collaborates well with team members
· Customer focused and service oriented
