The Mobility Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day administration, operation, and support of the company’s enterprise infrastructure associated with iOS, Android and iPad OS Mobile Devices as well as Apple MacOS devices
This person must be a subject matter expert in mobile device management as well as a strategic thinker. They will be responsible for supporting incident, request, change, problem, and knowledge management functions relating to mobile technology.
This role requires participation in rotating 24×7 off-hours on-call responsibilities.
This person must be able to work well in a team, but also have the ability to work independently. This person must also be willing to learn and engage with other technologies in order to support the overall team.
Activities include developing and reviewing detailed design requirements, identifying functional and non-functional requirements, evaluating and anticipating impact of technical solutions, writing technical specifications, evaluating vendor products, and preparing recommendations for executive management and business leadership.
Associate must actively monitor industry publications and electronic information to ensure the technology architecture is aligned with current industry standards.
Desired Skills and Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Certification, Registration, License: Bachelor’s Degree
Field of Study: Computer Science or Business Systems
3-5 Years of Experience Mobile Device Mgmt Tech (AirWatch/WorkSpace One, Mobile Iron, MS Intune, JAMF, etc)
3-5 Years of Experience Mobile End Point hardware tech exp (iOS, Android, iPAD OS, etc)
Knowledge of Windows, Mac OS, iOS, Android Opr Systems PKI Certificates
Patching/Security Issues in the mobile environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of application package deployment tools (SCCM, SMS, etc.)
Knowledge of server hardware technologies (X86, Linux, etc…)
Knowledge of Virtual desktop technologies
Experience with Scripting (Batch, VBscript, PowerShell)
Knowledge of Active Directory Knowledge of Monitoring tools (SCOM, OEM, etc.)
