Overview
Caine College of the Arts Production Services (CCAPS) seeks a highly motivated and skilled professional to serve as the Multimedia Operations Specialist (Multimedia Operations Specialist II). Supervised by the Director of Multimedia Operations and working with other CCAPS and CCA personnel, the Multimedia Operations Specialist assists with all work done in CCA teaching, performance, and exhibition venues, and serves all full-time and part-time faculty, staff, and student workers.
Responsibilities
Production Responsibilities (65%)
- Supervise assigned shows. Lead in all audio mixing and lighting design on assigned shows.
- Create, implement, and coordinate production plans for events supported by CCAPS.
- Independently lead and be responsible for the total technical operations of assigned events.
- Work closely with the Director of Multimedia Operations, Front of House, and Box Office staff to ensure a consistent customer experience and smooth operations in all CCA venues.
- Advise and assist CCAPS Director of Technical Operations in improving the quality and consistency of production audio.
- Supervise and participate in the load-in, installation, and maintenance of each show as assigned, ensuring the crews safety and the constructions accuracy.
- Be aware of new developments and technical requirements for equipment.
Tippetts Galleries Responsibilities (10%)
- Provide technical support and equipment maintenance of the Tippetts Galleries.
- Maintain gallery equipment and track its use and replace equipment as needed.
General Responsibilities (25%)
- Manage complete technical equipment inventory.
- Assist in the maintenance of equipment, tools, and supplies.
- Perform general maintenance tasks and supervise stage technicians in related duties.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in media technology or related field plus two years of experience OR an equivalent combination of education and professional experience with two of the years experience being live production experience.
- Experience supporting A/V productions, theatre productions, concerts, or art exhibitions, including knowledge of best practices in the field to support such activities.
- Current driver license and good driving record in order to perform essential job-related functions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge and experience using digital audio mixers, lighting consoles, video related equipment, and software.
- Knowledge and experience using hand and power tools, working with basic electrical wiring and associated safety practices.
- Ability to work as part of a highly motivated team in a fast-paced environment, to analyze situations, and to respond appropriately with minimal supervision.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with constituents such as faculty, students, staff, and external clients.

Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including heavy lifting (50 pounds) and/or pushing and pulling of heavy objects.
