Responsibilities
In your job, you will have the ability to make a difference in a patient’s journey by:
- Analyze, audit, and record all diagnostic procedures and assign appropriate procedure codes.
- Code with an accuracy of 97% based on QA internal reviews.
- Identify principal and secondary diagnosis with minimal error.
- Implement and update coding procedures and guidelines, partnering with MA’s and other staff in the coordination of medical information and documentation in patient records.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum One (1) year of coding medical experience required, three (3) years preferred.
- Completion of a Medical Record Technology course required.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Applicable certification preferred.
- Knowledge of medical records coding procedures desirable.
- Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding systems highly desirable.
- Any relevant experience which demonstrates the minimum knowledge and skills may be substituted for education.
The safety of our patients and staff is our top priority. Masks may be required in all Arizona Oncology facilities regardless of vaccination status. Candidates who accept employment including current employees who are applying for internal positions, are required to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination prior to their start date.
