The Operations Response Supervisor at US Ecology, Inc., is responsible for the supervision, management, and oversight of all aspects of the vessel/response operations team.
Day in the Life
Safely and effectively lead vessel operations team
Maintaining familiarization with state OSRO regulations, and the effect on our business
Ensure all safety and job-related equipment is in good working order at all times
Managing both land and water spill response activities by working with the regional Republic branches and or ICN members
Working with Responsible Party spill management team, Federal and State agencies, Operations Support (Logistics), ICN’s in the overall management of the spill activities
Managing vessel crew operations during project and or spill response events
Maintaining the client relationships within their area of coverage
Working with client services and looking for new clients who need local and or national OSRO coverage
Working with Operations Support – Logistics for maintaining and growing the ICN network within their area of coverage
Working with the local Republic branches and the ICN’s within their area of coverage for identifying opportunities for project work.
Maintaining the relationships within their area of coverage with Federal (USCG, BSEE, EPA), and STATE, by attending Regional Response Team and Area Contingency Planning meetings.
Providing standardized report to Regional Operations that describe the activities involving operations and marketing for their area of coverage.
Developing and delivering internal oil spill response trainings to the staff at the Republic branch offices.
What you need to apply
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
Experience leading a team and coaching individuals to excel, develop, and expand skills
Knowledge of PRC and marine OSRO Regulations and Ratings, ICS, Federal (Coast Guard and EPA) and State Agency requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Must be willing to travel, work on location and extended hours to meet client and operational demands
Travel domestically as required
Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
