University of Minnesota Physicians Looking for Specialty Access Center Trainer (Remote) – 1.0 FTE at Brooklyn Center, MN  Full Time

The Specialty Access Center Trainer develops and provides training and education for new and current staff working in the Specialty Access Center. This work includes competency development, orientation of new staff, providing oversight for preceptors in the Specialty Access Center and assuring ongoing competency of existing staff. This position is also responsible for coordinating with the quality assurance program within the Specialty Access Center, so that appointments are made with accuracy and a high degree of problem solving and patient focus.

Specialty Access Center Trainer Overview

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develops curriculum based on current department standards, regulatory requirements, best-practices, and by request of managers and leadership.
• Reviews all courses provided by department on an annual basis for accuracy, best-practice, and current regulatory/guideline requirements.
• Monitors and evaluates training programs, processes and/or practices for quality and effectiveness; makes recommendations for improvement.
• Works in collaboration with other Specialty Access Center leaders, clinic managers and leadership around educational needs assessments, evaluations, and design

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (post High School education preferred)
• 2-4 years of experience developing/improving a training program within a healthcare System.
• Expertise using LMS and developing blended learning. Ability to convey complex skill information effectively and teach others how to perform job-related processes.
• Fluent in use of Word, Excel, Power Point and writes at collegiate level.
• Ability to independently take on large projects and manage multiple, competing priorities while maintaining excellence in communication and customer service.

Location:At this time, this position will be working remote. (MN residents only)

Hours:8:30am-5:00pm (Monday-Friday)
