The Blue Cluster is a large complex academic unit within the Social Sciences. It is comprised of the Departments of Economics, History and Military Science, as well as the following programs: Jewish Studies, Hemispheric Institute on the Americas, East Asian Studies, Poverty Research Center, History Project, California History Social Science Project. All are teaching and research units within the College of Letters & Science. The Blue Cluster has 76 senate faculty, 10 Unit-18 & Continuing Lecturers, over 100 non-senate academic employees of varying titles per quarter, 20+ career staff, 160+ graduate students, & 2200+ undergraduate majors.
Job Summary
Under general direction, the Program Coordinator manages all aspects of the cluster’s graduate instruction programs. Responsible for providing comprehensive administrative career and academic support. Manage funds in excess of $1,000,000 from various complex funding sources including graduate block funds, fellowships, 10 gifts and endowments, and instructional needs funds. Serve as account delegate for graduate student/program accounts. Work closely with graduate program committee to develop strategic plans for instructional programs. This is one of two positions in the Blue Cluster Graduate Programs.
