SUMMARY: This position will partner with the respective business teams to implement and administer HR programs in a variety of areas including talent management; support; employee relations; performance management; talent development and employee retention. Also partnering with other HR functions like Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Benefits. This position will serve as the first line of support for day-to-day inquiries of Team members and assist in coaching on routine matters. The HR Generalist should be a highly customer centric individual with a bias towards change and the ability to assist in propelling team success. Responsibilities include: participate as a strategic member of the Human Resources team and execute against organizational business plans; under limited direction from HRBPs perform broad professional human resources responsibilities to support policies and programs including orientation, compensation, performance appraisal processes and benefits management including annual enrollment, affirmative action, equal employment opportunity, complaint investigations and HRIS; provide counsel in the interpretation and application of company policies through effective guidance for managers and Team Members ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements; support implementation of HR initiatives involving organizational culture, change management, leadership development and career development. In partnership with Talent Acquisition the position assists in leading onboarding for new hires for supported groups. Other duties include working with leaders to effectively create performance plans, ensure effective documentation and collaboration with compliance and or legal; conduct necessary workplace investigations and ensure effective tracking and responses to claims; owns administrative activities including HR reporting metrics, verifications, headcount, exit processes and employee transactions. Experience in labor relations, conflict resolution, progressive HR project work preferred; knowledge of compensation, administration, performance management and benefits management preferred; proven track record of building strong relationships vertically and horizontally within an organization; possesses high standards of ethical behavior, confidentiality, professionalism and objectivity; strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills; ability to analyze data; ability to handle competing priorities and adapt comfortably to interrupted work flow.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: BA/BS degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience. SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR preferred.
Experience: 2-4 years previous HR experience working in an HR business partner environment preferred; Two (2) years HR related experience required.
Computer Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Travel: Travel domestically approximately two (2) to four (4) trips per year
Biosecurity: The jobsite is a biosecurity environment which requires showering before entering the facility and could require multiple showers during the workday. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species, chickens, ducks and birds. The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times. Must be willing to follow the guidelines in all Cobb Facilities.
Physical: Must use safe lifting techniques. While performing the duties of this job the team member is regularly required to stand, walk, or sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk or hear. The team member must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment: Safety goggles, rubber boots, gloves and earplugs will be used as needed.
