The Job:
You will be responsible for leading and training our team of field inspectors who run daily inspections, reviewing reports, and assisting with field inspections as well as developing advanced training materials for the team. You will also meet with junior engineers to assist with complex or large loss inspections, and structural damage investigations and mentor them in proper assessment and report creation.
We provide a pickup truck, ladders, and all tools and equipment.
You will perform and assist with field inspections of commercial, residential and municipal buildings (interior and exterior) including climbing on steep and high roofs. We provide training and safety equipment, but you cannot be afraid of heights!). For the senior forensic engineer, we expect that you are experienced with proper safety equipment use and will be able to train others in proper safety. You will document your findings with labeled photos, field notes, sketches, and written reports, using company provided software and training and you will learn to train others in our systems.

Our team members continuously improve and share their knowledge of various building materials, installation requirements, damage types, and assessment methods both independently and through company-provided advanced courses for PDH credit, learning the latest technological advances throughout the industry.
What Background You Need:
You need to be a licensed PE experienced in forensic engineer inspections.
Expertise in storm damage, fraud and vandalism, pattern and manufacturing defects, installation and Code requirements, etc. is necessary for the senior engineer role.
Potential For Increased Starting Salary:
Increased starting salaries are available for candidates with structural background, settlement or geotechnical failures, and root-cause analyses. If you are an experienced fire inspector, please apply to that position instead.
