Summary
Performs all tasks required to install bulkheads, ceilings, doors, windows, stairs, and furniture in various types of vessels or other marine structures. The unfinished structure of a vessel is finished into living, work, and leisure/recreation spaces.

Education and/or Experience
1.High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent and experience using basic hand tools.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1.Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required
2.Familiarity with blueprints and drawings
3.Ability to read and interpret documents and instructions
4.Ability to take directions and follow instructions
5.Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
6.Ability to work on beams, scaffolding, ladders and confined spaces
7.Ability to work a variety of assignments and locations on a daily or hourly basis.
8.Strong ability to be reliable, dependable and work as a team
Preferred
1.Knowledge of welding and electrical is helpful
2.Basic carpentry and sheet metal skills
3.Shipyard experience
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is sometimes exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
