Defense Aftermarket Manufacturing Liaison
Coordinate and expedite manufactured parts in-house (both plants) and outsourced components (coordinating with Subcontract Manager).
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Track and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery of parts while meeting requirements including budget
- Support Defense Aftermarket Project Manager in developing plans to meet schedule
- Keep operations and aftermarket management informed of issues and opportunities with Defense parts shipments.
- Assist Defense Aftermarket Project Managers by coordinating outsourced manufacturing with Subcontract Manager to maintain visibility of outsourced manufactured parts and communicate need dates to Subcontract Manager and material availability dates to Manufacturing.
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED/SPECIAL NOTES:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Blueprint reading – must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word, and ability to learn ERP system.
- Knowledge of defense contracting adequate to understand and communicate manufacturing requirements
- Planning and production management skills to effectively develop and communicate a plan for successful order delivery meeting all requirements
