Trailer Bridge Looking for Coordinator, Port Traffic at Jacksonville, FL  Full Time

Summary:

The Port Traffic Coordinator assists the Port Traffic Supervisor with daily receipt, delivery of North and Southbound cargo at the Jacksonville port terminal. Other duties include providing service for used car customers, yard inventories, and directly assisting the Trailer Senior Coordinator with trailer/container receipt/delivery activities as necessary. This is an entry level position that provides administrative and clerical support to the Marine Operations Department. The ideal candidate, will be expose to all levels of Trailer Bridge’s marine operations clerical duties & responsibilities.

Essential Functions:

• Assists and directs carriers picking up and delivering cargo at the port terminal.
• Assist the overall operational excellence of paperwork related issues with other departments to ensure documentation and other deadlines are met.
• Maintain & update vessel’s schedule.
• Update monthly calendar.
• Maintain an accurate equipment location by updating locations.
• Assist with the processing & recording of purchase orders.
• Assists with damage reporting and control efforts.
• Handles other duties or projects as assigned by Senior Manager.
• Follows written procedures as documented in the Trailer Bridge ISO9001:2000 quality processes.
• Upholds company policies.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including long shifts & weekends.
• Assertive self-starter with strong initiative.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Supervise & report all hazmat cargo.
• Coordinating Trailer and/or container fumigation requirements.
• Works & communicates periodically with U.S. Coast Guard to assure hazmat cargo is in full compliance.
• Updates & maintains seal incidents reports.
• Constant problem solving related to BOLs discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years related transportation experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred. Relevant education will substitute for experience.
• Ability to obtain Port Security clearance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
