Reports to: Traffic Department Manager
Job Summary: Markosky is accepting applications for a Design Engineer II in our Traffic Department for assignment in our Ligonier, PA, and Steubenville, OH offices.
Job Requirements: Candidates must possess the following certifications and education/experience requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred
- Past Project experience with traffic signal design, and capacity analysis (HCM and Synchro/SimTraffic)
Experience:
- 2 – 4 years related experience
Essential Functions:
- Perform traffic / roadway, structure, highway, or civil design under the direction of Project Engineer and / or Project Manager
- Perform traffic, highway, structure, and civil CADD support
- Coordinate with supervisor on regular basis to review assignments, discuss progress, and receive new assignments
- May direct and review work of CADD Technician
- Makes some independent design decisions for review by the Project Engineer and /or Project Manager
- Perform field investigations as required (traffic, roadway, structural, environmental, etc.)
- Other projects / responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion
Skills:
- Good oral and written communications required
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Pay: $52,000.00 – $79,000.00 per year
