Responsibilities
• Operates advanced equipment including but not limited to, Welding Machines, Plasma Cutting tools, Gouging Machines, Shears, Submerged Arc Seamers and CNC Plasma Tables
• Operates forklift and overhead cranes to move material into position to produce railcar parts and sub-assemblies
• Ensures that equipment is maintained and operating properly before beginning work
• Reads and comprehends blueprints or weld drawings and procedures
• Guides Operator 1, as needed, in various production activities
• Ensures that safety and housekeeping standards are met and maintained
Requirements
• 6+ months experience operating various types of manufacturing equipment and machinery
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and work instructions
• Ability to use a computer
• Ability to work in a team or independently
• Ability to obtain in-house forklift certification
• High school diploma or equivalency test/GED
• 1+ years of experience in operating various types of manufacturing equipment and machinery
