Position Summary

The D&A team mission: Help our Business partners make strategic decisions through sustainable and governed data assets and compelling visuals

Reporting to the Director of Data & Analytics, the D&A Analyst, based in NYC, will manage and oversee the build of data assets across a variety of lines of business (mainly Retail and Supply Chain). These analytics solutions should unlock business insight and enable impactful decisions driving immediate value.

More precisely the Candidate will collaborate with the project and product teams to design, and deliver sustainable data models that will serve our data visualization tools.

This position requires a strong analytical mindset, key project management and technical skills to lead the development activities required to bring the solutions to life.

The Candidate will work closely with our global team of data professionals on a daily basis as well as our strategic partners to set up a robust delivery process focused on value and timelines.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop business cases in collaboration with teams and stakeholders: gather data, analyze business requirements, formulate plans, identify risks, estimate resources and timing for execution
• Write D&A Product Requirements Documentation listing user stories, features, wireframes, metrics/KPIs, data sources, detailed design…within traditional SDLC and/or Agile frameworks.
• Responsible for the end-to-end design, build and roll-out of data products relying on approved architecture and global ELC standards and frameworks
• Supervise Product development and testing on a daily basis, manage dependencies across departments and functions, ensure on-time and within-budget delivery, adhere to high-quality standards
• Organize training sessions
• Facilitate transition to support teams
• Engage with stakeholders, manage Customer communication with the proper level of detail and coordinate user acceptance testing

Qualifications

Functional Skills

• Strong experience in Business Intelligence/Data Analytics projects
• Strong Software Development and project management experience. Comfortable working with Agile methodologies
• Ability to translate business problems into analytical specifications and requirements & efficient solutions designs
• Ability to quickly analyze various data sets and identify their complexity, gaps and relations with other data assets (Strong data analysis skills)
• Retail and Supply Chain knowledge is a plus
• Comfortable working in matrixed organization and balancing needs of multiple stakeholders
• Excellent organization and communication skills coupled with a rigorous working process

Technical Skills and Qualifications

• Good knowledge of SQL (able to read and write mid-complex statements)
• Knowledge of Data Discovery methods and Data Visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
• Knowledge of Data warehousing and Data Lake concepts (e.g. Microsoft Azure, Snowflake)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum Years of Experience: 0-2
• SAP experience/knowledge is a plus

Leadership & Project Management Skills

• Proven experience managing or working with cross functional teams in mid-to-large scale, complicated projects
• Collaborates and communicates with multiple stakeholders, encouraging creativity when problem-solving
• Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools including Agile and Hybrid Agile
• Ability to adjust to changing priorities/goals and to adapt timelines, budgets and scope accordingly
• Methodical in approach especially in risk management and mitigation planning
