There are two internship opportunities available for our Development team:
The Corporate Relations team is responsible for engaging companies in Chicago, the Midwest, and beyond, and fundraising through membership and sponsorship opportunities for corporations. Interns will have the unique experience of gaining knowledge of the business community while also learning about global issues affecting businesses and corporations around the world.
The Membership team works closely with Council members on everyday fundraising activities. The Membership intern will be able to participate in professional fundraising development in a very hands-on way by participating in research, meetings, and correspondence. They will also learn how to navigate a donor database efficiently.

Intern Qualifications
Students must be currently enrolled undergraduate juniors, seniors, or graduate students, have an academic major or demonstrated interest in international affairs, possess excellent research, writing, interpersonal, and verbal communications skills, and possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office. International students are welcome to apply, however, all selected international applicants will need to obtain valid work authorization on his/her own behalf.
Interns are asked to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week.
While internships are unpaid, interns will receive a complimentary, one-year membership with the Council.
