The Center for Black Health & Equity (The Center) is the leading nationally recognized public health entity for solutions impacting African American health. We engage health care organizations, public health officials, faith leaders, and African American communities in health promotion and disease prevention work.

This Accountant coordinates, analyzes and reports the financial performance of the organization to the Director of Finance, Deputy Director, Executive Director, Treasurer, and Board of Directors on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to include financial performance, projections and other special requests as required. This position works with the Director of Finance to prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties. The Accountant oversees audit and tax functions, coordinates activities with outside audit firms, and reviews the firm’s performance. The Accountant also works with the Director of Finance to develop, implement, and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for numerous activities, including financial accounting and reporting and other organizational policies. The Accountant assists in the implementation of The Center, Inc.’s 100% Spending Plan to ensure all funding is spent in accordance with the requirements and regulations of the funder and the network’s financial policies and procedures. This position will report to the Director of Finance

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5pm.
Compensation:
$70,000-$80,000
