St. Louis School in Clarksville, Howard County, seeks qualified candidates to serve as a Classroom Teacher in grade 5 beginning in August 2022. The teacher is responsible for sharing core subjects with a grade-level teaching partner. The teacher will work in concert with a grade-level partner teacher to plan and execute lessons, including coordinating with other disciplines to promote cross-curricular activities. This is an in-person teaching opportunity.
Job Responsibilities
- Teacher is responsible for providing a safe and nurturing program grounded in Catholic beliefs for students.
- Plan and implement engaging, differentiated, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with best teaching practices.
- Observe and assess student progress, maintain accurate records of student progress
- Maintains open lines of communication with students, parents, colleagues and members of the administration as appropriate
- Respond to all parental inquiries in a positive timely manner
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Maryland State Teacher’s Certification or willingness to obtain
- Practicing Catholic preferred
- Proficiency with technology, multimedia equipment such as interactive white boards, LCD projector, Apple TV and document camera, and managing a one-to-one Chromebook program
