Immaculate Heart of Mary School located in Baltimore County, Maryland is seeking a full time grade 1 teacher for the 2022 – 2023 school year. The teacher will be responsible for a self-contained classroom and be responsible for all core subjects including Religion.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide grade appropriate instructional program within the content of the Archdiocesan Curriculum in all subject areas
- Develop, document and implement weekly lessons utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge and engage students
- Establish reasonable standards for student achievement, updating PowerSchool grade book weekly
- Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management
- Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional empathetic and timely manner
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Elementary Education
- Current MSDE certification, or willingness to achieve
- Must be an active practicing Catholic fully able to participate in Parish life.
- Must be comfortable with technology to include G Suite for Education (including Google Classroom), Smartboards, Chromebooks
- Must have a commitment to Catholic School education. Experience preferred.
