Tennant Company Looking for Business Continuity Manager at Eden Prairie, MN  Full Time

PURPOSE/SCOPE:

The Business Continuity Manager will lead and ensure Tennant’s corporate Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) is designed, executed, and globalized effectively and per the approved framework, and is continuously improving.Included is coordinating the risk assessment, prioritization, development, training, testing, maintenance, and exercising of the critical elements of the BCMS including Crisis Management & Communications, Emergency Response, IT Incident Response & Disaster Recovery, and Business Recovery for critical value streams.The Business Continuity Manager will also have an active role in responding to and managing actual events.Additionally, as part of Tennant’s Legal Department, the BC Manager will also support critical corporate compliance programs as necessary.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Continuity Management System Lead:

• Lead Tennant in further developing and maturing its global business continuity program via risk assessments, prioritization of revenue-generating process candidates, and facilitating business impact assessment (BIA) workshops.
• Execute the BCM Framework, currently modeled after ISO 22301, including developing and maintaining BCM policies and procedures through business unit owners
• Chair the Business Continuity Steering Committee (BCSC) and provide guidance for all critical business processes/services, facilities, and resources as business recovery is embedded into our enterprise
• Use, maintain and promote BCM related tools, specifically the MetricStream BCMS Portal, and (with Corporate Communications) the Alert Media Crisis Communications portal/system
• Plan and lead Table-Top Exercises with all levels of the company to simulate crisis response, incident response and business recovery
• Establish working relationships with Corporate EHS/Emergency Response, IT Disaster Recovery, Crisis Management/Corp Communications and the BCM business unit leads to facilitate effective incident response and recovery procedures
• Create and deliver training programs for new hires and current employees as required
• Facilitate timely identification, escalation, and resolution for all outstanding BCM-related issues
• Conduct periodic self-audits of existing BCM Plans, either internally or via 3rd-party organizations
• Create and maintain relationships with critical 3rd party support agencies such as the FBI, local law enforcement, IT cyber forensic firms, and our internal audit team/partner
• Stay informed on current and future BCM technologies, methodologies, and strategies
• Create and maintain action registers and KPIs to reflect system status and performance

Support for the Sr. Director – Prod Regulatory & Legal Operations

• Initiate & execute response procedures at the time of a crisis event including the Crisis Assessment Team and initiating crisis communications
• Guide the BCSC to support the BCM Framework as well as manage relationships from all business unit leaders to ensure BCM is a priority within their teams
• Engage the Board of Directors/Audit Committee as required regarding yearly program risk assessments, expansion, Table-Top Exercises, and deliverables

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, information systems, finance or related technical fields; MBA a plus
• At least 3 years of Business Continuity Management or 5 years of Corporate Risk Management/EHS job experience
• Experience engaging multinational divisions, plants or subsidiaries
• Experience using/facilitating ISO systems
• Up to 15% travel required both internationally and domestically

Desired Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of ISO 22301
• Relevant experience with BCM tools
• Experience with Risk Assessments
