Who You Are
The Senior Accountant will be a key asset to accounting team colleagues and to team members across the organization. You will be the primary leader for one of our core accounting functional areas (Payroll, Inventory, AP, AR, Cash Management, Revenue, General Accounting).
As an accounting leader, you will be responsible for a majority of the month/quarter/year-end closing process required to produce internal financial statements within that assigned area. You will partner with the Senior Accounting Manager to support the annual financial statement audit, acting as a liaison between TCGplayer and the external auditors.
You will be a key contributor as we build out our financial systems and processes. You will help grow and develop junior members of the team and be relentlessly focused on process improvement and driving financial rigor. Impact You Will Make Here

• Act as a point person to drive process improvement and compliance in one of our key functional areas.
• Complete and/or oversee reconciliations and journal entries as part of the month, quarter, and year end close to ensure that high quality, accurate and timely financial information is provided to key stakeholders.
• Assist in preparing draft copies of the balance sheet, profit and loss, statement of cash flow for review and ensure reports are complete and accurate by their respective due dates.
• Assist in the annual financial statement audit by working with the Senior Accounting Manager to respond to audit requests, correspond with the independent auditors, and complete the financial statements for review.
• Take on a variety of interesting accounting team projects that help increase the breadth and value that this team provides to the Company..
• Develop, document, improve business processes and accounting policies as part of a team and company continuous improvement goal.

What You Bring To The Team

• 5+ years of experience in Audit at a public accounting firm or comparable experience
• 2+ years of experience working in a Corporate accounting environment with general accounting responsibilities including month-end close, posting and/or review of journal entries, and account reconciliation processes.
• Complete understanding of GAAP and thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Strong ability to translate accounting outputs to business decisions
• Ability to pivot between multiple data storage systems
• Adept at advancing multiple projects and prioritizing tasks in an efficient manner
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel

You’ll Go Beyond If You Have

• Experience with SQL & Tableau dashboarding
• Experience with eCommerce, marketplaces, or collectibles
• Advanced involvement with the implementation of an ERP
