Program Coordinator
The School of the Arts at Purchase College, SUNY seeks candidates for the position of Program Coordinator.
Under the direction of the Director of Art and Design, the Program Coordinator will have ongoing responsibilities in implementing the day-to-day operations in respect to the following areas: Recruiting/Admissions, Enrollment Services, Student Affairs, Academic Affairs and Institutional Advancement. The Program Coordinator will also support other related tasks as it pertains to the academic operation of the assigned division. Regular duties will include, but are not limited to, liaising with the Office of Admissions and assisting the divisions with admissions, orientation, auditions, recruiting and student retention, including remote, on-campus and off-campus recruiting efforts; advising; liaising with the Registrar’s office in regards to class lists, registrations, students’ transcripts, grades, and withdrawals; assisting in curricular scheduling of rooms, spaces and personnel; providing information for the online course registration/catalog; coordinating scholarships; supporting faculty with academic advising; assisting students in need by communicating with student services offices on campus; maintaining student handbooks; assisting with probations; preparing paperwork for course changes/ creations; assisting with articulation agreements; and securing and maintaining relationships with high schools, community colleges, and other strategic admissions partnerships.
The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, as well as data analysis acumen. Additionally, they must demonstrate: the ability to coordinate tasks and communications between various departments; complete work in a timely manner; and good customer service skills. This position is key to recruitment and support of students, and is one of the first people many students meet and work with at our school.
The base salary will be $50,000 – $53,000 depending on experience, and includes a full benefits package and additional location stipend.
