Grade 1 TeachersThe Peter Noyes Elementary School is seeking a qualified two Grade 1 Teachers who will work collaboratively with the team and be primarily responsible for the development of appropriate curricula, daily high-quality instruction, and the on-going success of each and every student in the classroom. Plan, develop, and utilize a variety of instructional materials and aids appropriate to the intellectual and instructional level of students from varied socio-economic and cultural backgrounds that possess a range of mental and emotional maturity; Provide group and individual instruction to motivate students and effectively utilize the time available for instructional activities; Use assessment data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices; Evaluate academic growth of students and maintain appropriate records; Participate in curriculum development, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions; Support students academic, social, and emotional development; Implement curricula and activities to meet academic standards; Design and implement assessments that measure progress towards academic standards; Communicate effectively and consistently with students, families, and colleagues; Provide support, accommodations, and attention to all students; Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to school improvement efforts; Ensure students are engaged and invested in the classroom and managing behavior; Complete other related duties as assigned.
