Position: English Language Development Teacher
Reports to: Assistant Principal of Student Services, Principal
Location: STRIVE Prep – Westwood
Salary: $50,000-$69,000 based on years of experience and education (Effective 12/17/21) as well as a $3,000 increase for having one of the following licenses, SPED Education Generalist (5.02, 5.03, 5.04, 5.05, 5.08, 5.09). Finally, this role is eligible for a $2,000 addition to base salary for passing a language proficiency test for an approved language. DAY IN THE LIFE
Teach a 90-minute instructional block for the beginning proficiency level cohort. This block will provide both Dedicated ELD instruction and sheltered English Language Arts instruction at alternating times.
Push in to provide additional support for new-to-country students in their content classes as needed.90 minutes of planning time per day
Attend a weekly coaching meeting with the Assistant Principal of Instruction.
REQUIREMENTS
We do not require a Colorado Teaching License for our general education teaching positions. However, you do need to possess a Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree and achieve Qualified Teacher Status within six weeks of your start date through one of the approved channels outlined by the Colorado Department of Education.
