Stafford Healthcare at Belmont is offering a FREE training program at our Bremerton location for applicants interested in becoming Certified Nursing Assistants. The ideal candidate is dependable, compassionate, and passionate about helping others. This person must be reliable, empathetic, and be able to work with all types of people. Ask about the opportunity to work as a Hospitality Aide (with flexible scheduling) before and during the next class set to start in mid-January.
Certified Nursing Assistant Training will include:
- Basic understanding and patient care skills to work in acute care or long term care settings. The program covers lecture and practical experiences in a supportive learning environment for adult/geriatric care.
- On the floor clinical training
Applicant Requirements:
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to read/write in English, and have excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, and lift 50 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Our Company follows WA Proclamation 21.14.1 which requires all employees working in the Health Care Setting be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless they are exempt for medical and religious reasons, no later than October 18, 2021.
Upon completion of training, you will become employed here at the facility in Bremerton, as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant:
- Resident care – Instill confidence and trust in residents in a competent and caring manner. Provide hygiene and daily living assistance. This could include toileting, bathing, assisting residents with showers and medication, and escorting residents to and from activities and meals.
- Professional development – Maintain any specialized training and, if applicable, perform additional and specialized tasks pertinent to the assigned resident or area.
