SSFM International Looking for Construction Engineer II-IV at Honolulu, HI  Full Time

SSFM’s CM Highways Division is recruiting for a Construction Engineer (aka: Project Engineer, Field Engineer) to work in Honolulu.

SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Construction Management Project Engineer (CMPE), the Construction Management Engineer III position provides intermediate level application of construction engineering fundamentals to practical application. Performs assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering/planning tasks. Desired competencies include: willingness to learn and ability to receive direction and instruction. The successful candidate adheres to company policy and learns to work well with others within a fast paced entrepreneurial environment. Prior relevant experience with DOT Highways projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
2. Proven and applied knowledge of appropriate codes, laws and regulations.
3. Minimum of two years demonstrated experience and proficiency in highway, apron and taxi airport construction including scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control and production of all phases of construction.
4. 3+ years of progressive Construction experience including familiarity with construction activities like scheduling, ordering, quality control, and production.
5. Proven ability to supervise others and work independently with minimal supervision.
6. Other certifications may be required (e.g. CCM Certification or DOT certification of Qualification) depending on the project type.
7. Licensed PE preferred.
8. Must have a valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
