SparTek Industries Looking for Mechanical Engineer at Portland, OR Full Time

The Mechanical Engineer will ensure the successful mechanical design and project support of the production and installation of process machinery for hydraulic press and material handling applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design equipment for configured solutions to meet specified requirements for production machinery.
• Design prototypes to then be converted into standard product templates for future product platforms.
• Help lead projects from conception to execution on-time and on-budget.
• Evaluate concepts and conduct design reviews for all critical projects.
• Work with sales team to develop and deliver “best of class” designs to secure new projects.
• Assure on-time delivery of design packages for production.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of engineering standards and processes.
• Develop procedures for equipment design verification and validation
• Generation and maintenance of Autodesk design and data management files and tool sets.
• Support fellow engineers in optimizing efficient and effective performance of the mechanical design team.

Requirements:

• BS Mechanical Engineering
• 2+ years of experience in the design and specification of capital equipment.
• High level of proficiency with solid modeling software (Autodesk / Inventor / Vault experience preferred)
• Expertise creating detailed equipment documentation, technical calculations, and design specifications for automated manufacturing equipment.
• Experience designing standard product platforms (templates) from initial prototype designs in a project-oriented environment.
• Ability to work under pressure, managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Process machinery industry experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
