Role Overview
The Galway Integration Office is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Lead for Mergers &
Acquisitions (M&A) to manage the IT due diligence and integration processes for acquisitions.
This position sits within the Galway Integration Office (GIO) and reports to the Office of the CIO with a dotted line to COO of GIO.
The IT Lead for M&A will collaborate closely with the COO for M&A, the broader GIO Team, the
EPIC IT team, and acquisition Target IT lead(s). This position requires an ability to engage directly with prospective targets’ IT lead(s) to identify IT-related risks, mitigation strategies, and integration plans. This role requires a strategic, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities include:
§ Technology Strategy & Budget
§ IT Organizational Structure
§ Cybersecurity
§ Data Analytics and Privacy
§ Agency Management Systems & other Business Applications
§ IT Infrastructure o Facilitate due diligence discussions with Target IT lead(s) o Identify risks, associated mitigation strategies, and detailed action plans, in collaboration with Target, EPIC IT, and other EPIC functional areas o Develop IT Diligence Reports and associated products
§ Develop a holistic, comprehensive integration plan, including key milestones, key cross-functional collaboration points, timelines, and responsible parties
§ Execute against integration plan
§ Identify and mitigate timeline risks o Facilitate retrospectives with the Target to identify process improvements
EPIC budgets and workload o Monitor identified synergies over time * External Vendor Management o Vendor management for due diligence
§ Identifying when an external vendor(s) is appropriate for due diligence based on workload considerations§ Overseeing the quality and timeliness of vendor deliverables o Vendor management during integration§ Collaboration with external vendors of EPIC to complete IT integration§ Management of external vendors from target companies to integrate contracts into EPIC standards of serviceRequirements
