As the Procurement Engineer, you will be responsible for the following: Support the Human Space Exploration (HSE) segment for the Commercial Civil Space LOB. HSE Design, Development, and Test (DDTE) contract and Orion Production Operations Contract (OPOC) supply chain management affordability lead. Support the HSE and OPOC leadership to drive affordability initiatives across the supply chain, coordinate weekly/monthly business rhythm meetings and data products. Responsible for all supply chain management functions for assigned suppliers. Provide supply chain management function support to Subcontract Program Manager (SPM) leading efforts associated with critical, major supplier.


Basic Qualifications:


To be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Must have previous professional experience identifying, leading, and executing affordability initiatives.
• Must have previous professional experience leading teams.
• Must have previous professional experience adhering to objectives and committed schedules.

Desired Skills:


To be successful, ideally, you should also have:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters’s degree.
• Experience managing DDTE or OPOC affordability initiatives on Orion.
• Previous professional experience establishing milestone objectives and managing performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications.
• Previous professional experience leading teams overseeing subcontractors or critical subcontracted systems.
• Capable of learning to direct all phases of the subcontract from initiation of the business case for make or buy decisions through requests for proposals, subcontract management plans, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, and program execution.
• Capable of learning to develop sourcing and subcontract program management strategic plans.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate complex situations succinctly for executive audiences.
• Highly organized and efficient at time management.

Pay Rate:

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $75,700 – $126,100 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
