Job Description: The Staff Accountant responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. You will also be assisting the accounting manager as needed and respond to information requests by management and for auditing purposes.

Maintains Asset management, financial reports, and general ledgers; prepares and analyzes budgets; and performs general bookkeeping including reconciliations for month-end closing.
Assist management with semi-annual property tax payments and recordation
Participate in month end activities.
Analyze accounting data to resolve account discrepancies
Ability to answer questions and present information to management appropriately and effectively.
Ensures financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures.
Prepares budgets and forecasts with financial and profitability analysis on a requested basis.
Assists with managing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions including the processing of cash receipts, invoices, and cash disbursements.
Bank reconciliations and deposits.
Works closely with Human Resources personnel ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll disbursement and benefits.
Reconcile and keep loan payments and lines of credit accounts up to date
Other general accounting activities & special projects

Required education and experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or relevant field.
1+ years of experience in accounting or finance required or equivalent
Proficient in QuickBooks, MS Word, and Excel; Office 365, MS Access, 10-key, and data entry
Strong organizational and analytical skills with an emphasis on details
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and perform well under deadlines
Motivated self-starter with the ability to research and resolve issues independently
Work proficiently with minimal supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must possess a current CPR and First Aid certification or obtain upon hire.
Preferred education and experience:
Three to five years of experience in an administrative role.
Masters degree in accounting or related field preferred
