Shin-Etsu Silicones of America Looking for Entry Level Logistics Coordinator at Akron, OH Full Time

Shin-Etsu Silicones of America (SESA) is looking to hire a part-time Logistics Coordinator within the Logistics department for 2022. This role is on-site at our Akron, Ohio location.

***This is a temporary position with a high probability of hire-in.***

Responsibilities:

· Enter all ocean inbound shipment details into Oracle (SESA’s ERP system).

· Send all import documentation to SESA’s customs brokers for ocean imports. This may include: house bill of lading (HBL), airway bill (AWB), commercial invoice, etc.

· Contact freight forwarders for updates regarding the forward progress of each container up to and through delivery. Update Oracle with each progression.

· Keep appropriate personnel (both internal and external) informed of the constantly changing priorities, updates, and scheduling needs. This may include: Customer Account Manager’s (CAM’s), Regional Sales Managers, warehouses, etc.

· Perform various other logistics related tasks

· Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Education & Experience:

· Student currently enrolled in college with a business major or a recent graduate with a business degree preferred.

· Bachelor’s degree in Business with an interest in supply chain or logistics also considered.

Qualifications:

· Ability to adapt to job assignments as needed.

· Ability to take direction and work effectively within a team environment.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Must have a professional and positive attitude.

· Must have good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

· Must be punctual and reliable.

· Must be able to commit to the length of the contract (now – early/mid-February).

· This position operates primarily in a professional office environment.

· The role routinely uses standard office equipment.
