The Director of Human Resources will provide guidance, direction and support to team members at the assigned hotel. The responsibilities include providing counsel and hands-on support within areas of the HR discipline such as employee relations, training, recruitment, on-boarding, policies and procedures development and implementation, Federal and State regulatory compliance, wage and benefits, and employee safety and workers compensation activities.

• Adhere and implement standard HR policies and practices, as well as upkeep and maintenance of company HR Audit items.
• Ensure the efficient and effective management of employee relations issues, including warranted and timely investigations, and proper documentation.
• Manage all aspects of the talent acquisition and recruitment activities:
• Effective recruitment resources and strategies
• Liaison as needed with contract labor and temporary agencies, and outside recruiters
• Ensure proper hiring practices are in place and requisite job files created and maintained
• Conduct and/or provide guidance on company required training-related activities:
• Preventing Discrimination and Harassment in the Workplace Training for Managers and Supervisors
• Annual Bloodborne Pathogens Training
• Lead the hotel safety committee and conduct OSHA related training in areas such as worker compensation and safety
• 401(k) Education and Outreach
• Brand training monitoring systems
• New Employee Orientation
• Ensure accurate and timely enrollment of employees in health benefits, as well as serve as a resource for potential benefits related questions.
• Provide support, guidance and direction on the Annual Associate Opinion Survey (AOS) and the corresponding facilitation of reporting results, and online development and execution of Action Plans for improvement.
• Provide support and guidance on Wage and Benefits activities such Annual Open Enrollment and Wage Watch subscription.
• Serve as a resource with various HR-vendor relationships.
• Participate in company-wide special projects and program development.
• Participate in hotel acquisition activities and task force support.
