SEPI Engineering And Construct Looking for Landscape Architect at Remote Full Time

Job Summary

SEPI Engineering & Construction, Inc. is currently seeking a Landscape Architect to join our Land Development division in our Raleigh, NC office. Our landscape architecture and land planning group offer an extensive range of consulting and design projects across multiple markets including residential, mixed-use, commercial, parks and recreation, economic development, environmental, transportation, aviation, and municipal clients. The candidate will assist in many aspects of design, including site analysis, conceptual design, construction plan development, and specifications where applicable. These projects may include greenways, streetscapes, gateways, K-12, athletic facilities, entry features, and innovative stormwater concepts.

Applicants should embrace leadership opportunities, exhibit a diverse range of project experience, and be motivated to perform excellent design, graphic, written and presentation skills. Portfolio or work samples will be required if considered for an interview. Candidates should have strong organizational skills and possess excellent communication skills.

Essential Functions

• Complete due diligence efforts and develop preliminary Site Inventory and Analysis reports related to evaluating project feasibility.
• Prepare layout studies, yield studies, parking studies, and conceptual design for private commercial/residential/industrial and/or public clients.
• Research and incorporate development codes into project designs.
• Preparation of base mapping using GIS and other public mapping sources.
• Perform drafting operations, including redline mark-ups, as related to site design and construction documents.
• Prepare site development plans for agency submittal and review.
• Support Site Civil development including Preliminary grading design, Preliminary storm water management systems design, erosion and sediment control design, and landscape designs using Civil 3D and/or LandFX.
• Preparation of all associated calculations, reports, and spreadsheets.
• May also write specifications, coordinate permitting, and perform construction administration.
• Coordination with other design professionals, both internal and external.

. Requirements:

Education, Training, Experience and Licensing/Certification Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an ABET-accredited university program.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• 4-8 years of experience in landscape architecture and/or planning;
• Knowledgeable in planning, urban design, and landscape architecture;
• PLA licensure is strongly preferred;
• If not currently registered, a desire to seek professional licensure in North Carolina;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Contributes proactively to the project team;
• Highly motivated to successfully interact with clients and team members;
• Proficient with technical detail;
• Excellent freehand illustration and rendering skills for both plan and perspective sketches;
• Experience with MS Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D, LandFX, and Photoshop is required;
• Experience with GIS/ArcView, Adobe Creative Suite software, and Sketchup is a plus;
• Ability to work within assigned hourly project budgets;
• Checks all technical work for accuracy;
• Focuses on quality and helps ensure QA/QC procedures are followed;
• Conform in all respects with applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors; and;
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by manager.
