Family Court of St. Louis County is hiring for a Deputy Juvenile Officer I- School Diversion in the Delinquency Department.
Entry salary is $45,760.00. This rate includes 10% addition to pay.
Full time: Monday – Friday including some early evenings.
This is a non-merit position. Recruitment for this position will be handled by the Family Court of St. Louis County. Position is eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness

An employee in this job class and position is responsible for performing work of moderate difficulty requiring independent and sound professional judgment. The duties are performed in a school environment where the Deputy Juvenile Officer is assigned to a partnering school district to provide diversionary services. The St. Louis County Juvenile Office and partnering School Districts have an agreement that involves working on behalf of youth and families to implement services, aimed to prevent youth from being referred to the Juvenile Office. Additionally, services will also support alternative responses to discipline concerns. Work involves providing case management services, intensive and direct supportive services to youth and their families to aid in developing skill competencies, group interventions and educational support, and linkage to community resources and services.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related social/behavioral science is required (an MSW is preferred), plus at least one year of professional social work experience working with juveniles and families; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
All applicants conditionally offered a permanent part-time, full-time, term or on-call position will be required to submit to a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Screening will be performed by a reputable clinical laboratory. The cost of screening will be paid by the County. Applicants will also be required to submit to an extensive background and criminal record check.
