After more than 50 years of industry leadership, Engineered Films is separating from Raven to become a stand-alone business. As we begin this journey of creating a new company with over 400 team members across six locations, we are seeking an executive leader of Human Resources.
This position will be key in development and execution of strategy to support our purpose to create solutions that are thinner, lighter, stronger, together. SUMMARY
Provide leadership for designated functions of human resources. These areas may include: recruiting, talent management, team member relations, policy and procedures, workers compensation, benefits administration, compensation, etc. Responsible for administration of human resources for all team members and ensuring compliance with Federal, state, and local law.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develop and execute budgets, short-term and long term plans, policies, procedures, and initiatives. Work with leadership to maintain accountability to budgets, plans, and initiatives.
Supervise and lead the human resource functions assigned to the position.
Provide vision to the human resources functions.
Work with other departments of the division to assist in achievement of divisional goals.
Responsible for implementation of policies and procedures.
Coordinate and/or direct major projects.
Participate as a critical business partner to the VP of HR and the other members of the HR team to develop and guide to ensure aligned with business needs.
Provide strategic insight and manages/delivers core HR generalist support in areas such as team member development, compensation, succession planning, training, recruiting, policies and programs, benefits and team member relations.
Effectively partner with all levels of management to develop and implement innovative new policies and programs and to align and leverage company-wide HR practices; develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures.
Ensure effective reporting and analysis of HR data to enable the leadership to make key operational and strategic decisions.
Act as the company expert around industry trends and employment legislation and ensures Company compliance with Federal, State and international requirements.
Keep informed of new developments, methods, and techniques in the profession.
May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the company’s quality management system and controls.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor degree required in business, human resources, or related field.
10+ years’ experience in leadership and human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specific skills, proficiencies, and knowledge in field related to position, as identified by department leadership.
Ability to work with highly confidential information and documentation with discretion.
In-depth understanding of HR body of knowledge.
PHR, SPHR, or related HR certification highly encouraged.
General knowledge of financial statements.
Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Business acumen and ability to analyze data to make decisions regarding the business.
High level of patience and service. Ability to motivate team members and subordinates.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including ability to present and train.
Business acumen to work with all levels of leadership.
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
Proficiency with a computer, including Microsoft Office.
Demonstrated innovative and creative thinking.
Strong ability to coach. Possess enthusiasm and positive attitude.
Limited travel as needed.
