The Marketing & Events Manager is a successful and enthusiastic meeting planner and marketer who produces world class events from conception through to completion. Responsibilities include working with members and internal stakeholders to organize memorable events that meet quality and budget expectations.

responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
? Event planning for technical meetings, design and production, effectively
managing all project delivery elements on time and to quality standards.
Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with outside vendors. Organize
facilities and manage all event details such as decor, catering, speaker
management, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests,
equipment, and registration.
? Develop and lead marketing strategies to optimize event attendance, quality,
branding standards, and attendee satisfaction.
? Manage volunteer organizing groups to develop program content in coordination
with technical staff leader(s).
? Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations, and that
internal security and business processes are followed.
? Provide feedback and periodic reports to internal stakeholders. Specify support
staff requirements and coordinate with the marketing team for execution.
? Effectively communicate with external stakeholders to ensure participant
satisfaction. Tactfully deal with diverse people, situations, and ideas.
? Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities while
maintaining strong focus on execution and results yet be adaptable to changing
conditions.
? Demonstrate ability to work proactively and follow through on assignments with
minimal supervision; ability to work collaboratively with a team.
? Ensure relevant content is presented, organization branding is maintained, and
pre- and post-event communication strategies are deployed.
? Contribute to event marketing support including promotional materials, including
web updates, social media posting and copywriting.
? Conduct pre- and post – event evaluations and report on outcomes. Prepare and
reconcile budgets.
? Research market, identify event opportunities and generate interest.
? Ability to work occasional evenings and travel to event/meeting locations.
