Radiant Systems Inc Looking for Control Engineer at Remote Full Time

Job Title: Control Engineer

Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, for durations of 2 to 3 weeks

OHV Systems Control Engineer – Mining

Maximum hourly pay rate range- $60.00 – $75.00

• Develop Mining Off-Highway Vehicles (OHV) control systems. The successful candidate will develop, implement, & validate of control systems for electric drive mining vehicles. These systems will include traction drive systems, auxiliaries, and interfaces to other onboard and offboard vehicle systems. These vehicles typically have a 100-to-440-ton payload capacity.

• Apply control theory and mathematical modeling to design and control systems with desired behaviors. Includes operability, setting of boundaries, cycle optimization, control logic, control related software, sensors, hardware and software algorithms, and feedback to control the performance of devices, subsystems and systems.

• Execute creation of necessary system documentation to flow down requirements to detailed component design & software development teams.

• Evaluate detailed design for technical merit & adherence to sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.

• Support factory build of prototype & standard production systems.

• Coordinate sub-system validation and reports for testing performed internally, at 3rd party sites, or on customer site.

• Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or other Engineering Discipline

• At least 3 years of engineering experience

• Minimum of 3 year of control experience

• Experience in control implementation & validation

• Minimum 3 years working knowledge of model based designing tools such as MatLab/Simulink and/or MatrixX

• Minimum 3 years’ experience with control design and controls integration through full-development life-cycle concept to field application

• At least 3 years Hands-on experience with design, implementation, and validation of closed loop controls and/or diagnostics
