Accountant Job Description:

PrideStaff Financial is working with a local business in Folsom, CA seeking an experienced Accountant.  We are seeking an individual who has a strong work ethic, great time management skills, and is a team player. This position is with a well established business who is looking for the right opportunity to shine.  The Accounting position is a full-time, temp-to-hire position with room to grow.  We are seeking someone who has experience with QuickBooks, Excel, and with full cycle accounting. Accountant Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process business activity through the general ledger to the financial statements
• Reconcile general ledger accounts with supporting schedules monthly
• Prepare bank reconciliations for all cash accounts and create journal entries and maintain accrual schedules
• Assist in setting up bank accounts, financial reports, and any additional accounting systems or software
• Generate the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data
• Produce and maintain monthly financial statements and reports
• Must have some experience with QuickBooks, Excel, and full cycle Accounting. 

Accountant Requirements:

• 2+ years experience as Full Charge Bookkeeper or Accounting preferred
• 1 year experience in QuickBooks accounting system preferred
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Excel
• Industry experience or multi entry accounting a plus
• Must have excellent understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles – GAAP
• Must be detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage a variety of tasks
• Must have good communication and time management skills
