The Human Resource (HR) Manager is responsible for all areas related to human resources, benefits administration, company training and workforce development, recruiting, policy administration, delivering change management solutions and employee relations. This role collaborates with senior leadership to create and implement a highly effective HR function that aligns human resource business strategies to support company strategies, objectives and goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide HR expertise to support company leadership to develop programs that inspire employees around common goals, vision, and values, enable continued growth and position the company as a competitive employer in the market to attract and retain talented personnel.
Assure company compliance with federal and state labor regulatory mandates.
Ensure the effectiveness of compensation and benefits strategies, policies and practices.
Act as a proactive and strategic business partner to the Executive Leadership Team in order to fulfill our current and emerging business plans.
Responsible for creating and executing the company Talent Strategy through workforce planning, employment branding, candidate engagement, talent assessment, and continuous hiring process improvement efforts.
Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of data in the Payroll/HRIS system. This includes payroll changes, promotions, job titles, new hires and terminations.
Anticipate, develop, direct, and facilitate organizational development efforts including performance management, succession planning, and training activities to support strategic objectives
Responsible for management and administration of Collective Bargaining Agreement. This includes contract interpretation, implementation, contract analysis, negotiations, grievances, arbitration, workforce adjustments in accordance with the agreement, etc.
Drive a culture of high performance through annual Employee Performance Appraisals while ensuring alignment with the Company’s annual objectives and long term strategic direction
Develop contemporary Company policies and practices that models Company culture and business plans. Train and advise supervisors/managers in the effective application.
Protect the interests of the company with regard to all local, state, and federal legal employment obligations while providing an in depth knowledge resource in Employment Law matters in conjunction with counsel when necessary.
Maintain positive employee and labor relations and drive effective communications.
Support safety initiatives, driving industry best practices and results.
REQUIREMENTS
Education required: Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development or equivalent.
Experience required: Minimum 7 years experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
Special skills needed: Moderate to high skill with various software including Microsoft Office Suite.
Skills, knowledge or abilities: Read, write & speak the English language fluently.
