ROLE SUMMARY
The colleague has global accountability for governance and oversight of Temperature Control Logistics Operations across all Supply Chains (ex. Comirnaty, Paxlovid, Gene Therapy, Conventional)
They will also have Americas (AMER) accountability for the management of International transportation flows for the Conventional Supply Chain.
They will be accountable for a P&L ~ $180 MM in transport packaging and transport spend.
They will be responsible for operational oversight of the Logistics Incident Process globally – inclusive of managing the Intercompany Operations (IO) cross functional Process Centric Teams (PCT), which are focused on incident reductions and continuous improvement.
This role is responsible for leading several teams focused on E2E supply chain design, execution, and control. These teams include:
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Network Temperature Control Logistics Operations – ensure that temperature sensitive products are shipped and handled in a compliant and efficient matter according to all regulations and Pfizer quality standards
Service and Cost Accountability – responsible for the end-to-end service and cost of the logistics delivery functions required for the movement of product within the Pfizer Intercompany network (AMER related exports).
Governance – defines governance for the development and implementation of shipping lane specific SOPs with freight forwarder and shipping entity/site in alignment with relevant Pfizer Quality Standard and, Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) Value Proposition.
Service Provider Selection and Management – leads the identification, selection, qualification, implementation, and continuous improvement of temperature control logistics shipping systems. Manages external logistics providers (transport and packaging) to ensure service levels and capacity are appropriately matched to business and changing regulatory requirements.
Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEX) – Orchestrate LDO Tier 2 process, standard work across PCTs and ensure robust application of IMEX standards, metrics and continuous improvement loops. People Management and Development – responsible for selecting, coaching, developing and managing a diverse team that is located across the globe. Actively engage in developmental and project assignments, workload distribution, hard and soft skill development, behavior and recognition.
Communication and Alignment – Connects Logistics Delivery Operations with all E2E stakeholders (ex. Logistics centers, plants, markets, supply chain, quality operations etc.). Owns resolution and corrective action planning for all Temperature Control and Logistics Delivery Operational issues. Drive process and project alignment and standardization.
