PEARL Institute of NY Looking for Social Media and Communications (Volunteer Position) at Remote Full Time

P.E.A.R.L. (Pacific, Education, Advocacy, Research, Learning) Institute of New York, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in New York City, was established as a non-profit organization in San Diego, California in 1993 by a group of professionals with a strong commitment to addressing the social policy as well as human services needs of individuals and families from different cultural backgrounds within the Pacific Rim.

P.E.A.R.L. Institute of New York is dedicated to the education, advocacy, research, and dissemination of information that contributes to culturally competent social work practice and other human services programs serving the United States, Pacific Rim populations, and beyond.

We are currently looking for social media and communications volunteers. A commitment of at least 8-10 hours per week is required. This is a work-from-home position with flexible hours.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with writing and posting organizational related articles to reach strategic social media marketing and program goals

• Engage with our online communities by maintaining our social media accounts (e.g, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, WeChat)

• Suggest social media and communications strategies to generate more viewership

Qualifications:

• Background in communications/marketing

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

• Strong computer and research skills

• Strong interest and knowledge in social media
• English Chinese bilingual preferred.
