Job Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Performs complex quality control inspection activities on assigned airfield or aviation related construction projects to ensure that products or services provided are in accordance with Parsons and/or client requirements. Position requires 100% travel with paid travel expenses. Work will be conducted primarily in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Central Service Area (AZ, NM, TX, LA, OK, AR, MO, KS, NE, IA, SD, ND, MN, IL, IN, OH, MI). May also include travel to other project locations within the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and other locations where air traffic is managed by the US Federal Aviation Administration may be required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Assurance or related field and typically 4+ years related construction experience. Alternatively, a High School/Trade School diploma and equivalent work experience (10+ years) is required.
Experience providing construction/technical inspections for navigational aids, airfield communications systems, and/or other air traffic control systems is required.
Airfield experience is highly preferred.
Candidates should have experience in Civil, Electrical, Structural, Mechanical, and general construction projects. Fluency in OSHA construction safety requirements and risk management is required.
Candidates should be highly competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical orders and standards and instructions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reports to the Parsons Project Manager and Project Management Team.
Provides technical oversight of airfield construction and electronics installation projects to ensure subcontractor adherence to contractual requirements.
Documents deficiencies and non-conformances and communicates issues to the project management team and project owner/client.
Attends weekly status meetings. Provides updates on subcontractor progress and elevates issues to project management team.
Ensures adherence to airfield safety and security requirements. Ensures adherence to Risk Management Plans.
Documents and records construction progress though daily and weekly reports and photographs.
Performs varying construction quality assurance tests and collects quality control reports and information from the subcontractor.
Identifying issues affecting the progress of construction and help to resolve these issues.
