Parkway Products, Inc. Looking for Quality Engineer at Seneca, SC Full Time

Job Summary: Provides quality engineering support services to production and engineering departments via measurement data, measurement techniques, statistical methods and analysis, and regulatory compliance.   Assist in the quality and regulatory aspects of mold and assembly qualification from program inception, through development, to ongoing manufacturing support.  

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support project development teams regarding quality issues, measurement data, measurement techniques, statistical methods and analysis, and regulatory issues.
• Review and interpret customer drawings and specifications for manufacturing feasibility, measurement capability, including application of GD&T
• Communicate and negotiate with customers to understand and define their quality requirements.
• Communicate with customers to understand and define their quality requirements. Negotiate requirements when appropriate. 
• Use design of experiments, and FMEA techniques to identify robust processes and improve deficient processes.  Obtain, verify, analyze, and present necessary measurement data to evaluate conformance to specification and to prove process capability.
• Provide oversight of measurement service providers to assure accurate and correct interpretation.
• Conduct statistical studies of process capability and process control, and provide recommendations to product and process engineers on how to achieve desired results.
• Create and maintain manufacturing quality plans for new and existing projects.  Includes specifying process-control features, frequency, technique, and acceptability.
• Working knowledge of CMM programming, and interpretation of outputs.
• Identify the need for custom gages and gage systems, including performing R&R studies.
• Where required (automotive applications) provide PPAP documentation in accordance with TS16949

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor Degree in an engineering or applied science discipline or equivalent work experience in a Quality Engineering/Assurance Field with applied SPC techniques. 
• 4 years CMM operation and/or programming experience (PC-DMIS preferred – or equivalent) preferred.
• Background in ISO13485/ISO9000-1/TS16949/AS9100/FDA preferred
• Blueprint interpretation, GD&T, SPC, and SQC techniques capability.
• ASQ certification preferred.
• Tools/Technology (preferred): 
  1. Tools used in this occupation: Go/No Go Gauges, Calipers, Digital Micrometers, Vision Inspection Systems (Micro-Vu Inspection),Comparator, CMM, and Label Making Software.
  2. Technology used in this occupation: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point), SPC Software (InfinityQS), MiniTab, InspectionXpert
• Quality System operation and management required.
• In-process and final inspections capability.
• Process auditing capability.
• Must be task oriented, with the ability to adjust multiple priorities in a short period of time.
• Excellent oral and written communication.

• Must be able to perform moderate to heavy physical demand involving lifting and moving of equipment.
